Russian-Kazakh film director Timur Bekmambetov shot for the the Russian magazine Snob.

Timur is famous in Europe and especially Russia where he has won a truck load of awards. His most famous works are the Vampire movies, Nochnoy dozor (2004) and Dnevnoy dozor (2006). In 2009 he will release his third Vampire movie Twilight Watch.

Timur got his directorial start doing Commercials in Russia. His first feature length effort as a director and writer was Peshavarskiy vals. A story about the Soviet Union in Afghanistan.

He continued to produce TV commercials and was named named best young director of 1997 by Russian Film Academy.

Timur currently lives in Hollywood where he has been writing, directing and producing movies for the US market. In 2008 he directed Wanted with Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy
